In 1999, seven of the nation's leading medical societies together created Medem to establish the premier physician-patient communications network. Medem has earned that designation, with more than tens of thousands of physicians, 47 specialty and state medical societies, a growing number of health systems, health plans, patient advocacy groups, professional liability carriers, and other partners and sponsors supporting Medem's growth.
